IMO CP CONDEMNS ALLEGED ₦100,000 DEMAND BY IPO, ORDERS PROBE INTO VIRAL DEFILEMENT CASE

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Police Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to immediately take over and conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged defilement case involving a minor, which is currently circulating in a viral video on social media.

CP Danjuma strongly condemns the alleged demand for One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) by the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) in connection with the matter.

Consequently, he has further directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the IGP X-Squad Unit, Imo State Command, to identify all officers involved and forward them to the Force Complaints Response Unit (FCRU), Force Headquarters, Abuja, @PoliceNG_CRU for interrogation and possible disciplinary action.

The Imo State Police Command reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to the protection of children and victims of sexual offences.
