- Colonel Lawrence ANYANWU:
He is currently the most senior West African in the United States military. He is a native of Amorji-Ogbe in Imo state. He joined the U.S army after studying Banking and Finance at Imo state College of Technology.
He also has a Masters degree in Strategic Studies, a Bachelor degree in Finance and another Masters degree in Engineering Technology from various US universities.
His son, Ryan Anyanwu is a First Lieutenant in the US Army. Ryan is serving as Physicians Assistant in Forst Bliss, Texas.
- Colonel Ike EWEAMA:
He is a PhD holder who just got promoted as a Colonel in the U.S army. Colonel Ike Eweama is from Abia.
- Colonel Igwekala NJOKU:
He is a scientist and a Medical Corp in the US Army. He is a native of Enyiogugu in Imo state. He moved to the USA in April 1971 when he was just 18 years old.
He schooled at St. Paul Primary School and Holy Ghost College, Owerri (where Kanu Nwankwo and I also schooled).
He has a PhD in Nuclear Science and Radiological Physics.
In 2003, he became a Colonel in the US Army. This made him the first Black African to become a Colonel in the US military history.
