Today, I engaged with the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and heads of agencies under the Ministry of Interior to recalibrate coordination between Nigeria’s defence and internal security systems, with particular focus on safeguarding our national borders.
We identified gaps affecting border control, intelligence integration, and joint operational response, and agreed on practical adjustments to strengthen defence and internal stability.
This engagement demonstrates a unified approach, ensuring defence and internal security act in full synergy to deliver measurable results for Nigeria and Nigerians.
