!Now, this ignoble narrative over Onitsha market closure!

For those introducing ethnic and sectional sentiments into the Onitsha market saga, remember Anambra people have more businesses in Kpirikpiri Market in Abakaliki, Ogbete Market in Enugu, Ariaria Market in Aba and Eke Onuwa Market in Owerri.
In many cases, they are even in control of the leadership of these markets outside controlling the businesses without the indigenous people laying blue eggs.
I don’t know why some people are bent on dividing Ndigbo along ethnic lines whenever it suits them, including the high-net individuals who should be at the vanguard of destroying such a monster where it rears its ugly head.
Imagine insinuating that the Sit-At-Home in Onitsha is being sponsored by people from a particular state outside Anambra. Does it suggest that Anambra people are more Igbo or less Igbo than any other group or bear less or more Igbo blood in them?
Which true Igbo man is happy today that Nnamdi Kanu is in prison today, given the circumstances surrounding his arrest, trial and eventual sentencing to life imprisonment, when established terrorists with known record of actually beheading people on a mass scale are being pampered and served with milk and honey?
I hear that Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra State Governor, is currently compiling names for appointments into his new cabinet. Obviously many who have sent in their CVs are probably smoothening their ways towards a possible place at Agu Awka.
Nobody should begrudge such a move. But attempts at ingratiating Charlie Nwa Mgbafo, must have a limit. It must be devoid of any attempt to rope in other people into the purely self-serving project by creating narratives capable of bringing katakata to Igboland.
One person’s interest or even those of a group or groups of individuals should not be elevated beyond what it should be. Such a manipulative tendency or approach must be killed before they grow.
Ndigbo are currently crying about how they have become the major target for annihilation by the Igbo-hating APC, which apart from denying them a place at the diner table, have encouraged their footsoldiers to up the ante in destroying their businesses and properties.
To now come down to Igbo communities and hear – this man is from Ebonyi, it is Enugu man or Abia people are the guilty ones is not only patently odious but totally completely dangerous. It is unacceptable.
Those driving this dangerous narrative in Anambra, are well-advised to stop and redirect their intellect and high-net influence to the nobler essence of the Igbo man. Division has never been the way of the Global Citizens of Nigeria.
