After the Nasir El-Rufai brouhaha with the DSS at the Abuja airport few days ago, my name popped up all over social media. I received phone calls and text messages — some from friends I’ve known for years, and others from people who simply heard or read about the chaos that went down.

It was everywhere that year, and it shook my career to its core. I’m still in court with my employer over it, but by God’s grace, I know it will work out for good.
Those years were nothing short of a storm. The emotional, spiritual, and financial toll was immense. I was pulled in every direction — torn apart by the weight of it all. But through it all, I held on.
Many stood by me, offering support, while others mocked, ridiculed, and tried to tear me down. But through their mockery and the darkness, I felt the strength of the prayers and love that surrounded me.
I stood tall. God didn’t let me break. And for that, I am forever grateful.

As for Nasir, whatever he’s going through now, whether he deserves it or not, that’s a matter for him and God. But as for me, Olusegun Onibiyo, I’ve forgiven him. I’ve let go of the anger and handed it all over to God.
The lesson I’ve learned through all this is simple and unshakable: always stand for what is true, what is just, and what is right, no matter who you’re standing up against.
You don’t back down because of fear or pride. And no matter how fierce the storm gets, if you kneel before God, you can stand before anything else.
I feel your prayers, your support, and I cannot thank you enough. You’ve been there for me — in ways big and small and I will NEVER take that for granted.
My lawyer, that bold and firm man, Barr. Sunny Obimba is one man I will never forget. He is not just my lawyer, but my big brother and true friend. He is God sent.
I remember his reassuring words, “…they have cheated you. And for this, I will fight for your rights”.
He represented me through thick and thin, pro bono. Indeed, angels live amongst men!
I believe Nigeria will rise again. I believe that with all my heart, and by God’s grace, we will see it.
Amen.🔥😎👏
