US resumes daily equipment and troops supplies to Nigeria

Following nearly daily deliveries of equipment and troops by the United States to Nigerian Air Force bases in the northeast, specifically Bauchi and Maiduguri, there have been no deliveries to Nigeria since Feb 25. This pause coincides with the start of US/Israeli operations against Iran on Feb 28.

However, for the first time in a week, a USAF C-17A (reg. 03-3113) landed very briefly in Accra today from Ramstein Air Base before heading north toward Tamale, Ghana. This city was visited by AFRICOM Commander Anderson during his last visit to the country, during which he met with the Ghanaian President and Defense Minister.

Previous deliveries to NAF bases were conducted by USAF cargo aircraft either from McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey or Ramstein Air Base in Germany, the C-17A (reg. 03-3113) that arrived today in Accra came from USAF Campbell Army Airfield in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

The last delivery took place in Bauchi Air Base, and was conducted on Feb 25 by USAF C-130J (reg. 08-3176)./Brant Phillips
