Kwankwaso was received into the party at a grand ceremony held at his Miller Road residence on Monday, where the partyโ€™s bigwigs were in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Mark said Kwankwasoโ€™s entry into the ADC, alongside โ€œmillions of supporters,โ€ represents a deliberate move by opposition leaders to unite and strengthen democratic participation in the country.

He said the development signals a collective response to Nigerians’ calls for a cohesive opposition capable of safeguarding the nationโ€™s democratic system.

Mark criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress, alleging that its actions pose a threat to multiparty democracy and warned against what he described as attempts to weaken opposition voices and concentrate power.

According to him, the ADCโ€™s growing coalition reflects a commitment to ensuring that Nigerians retain the right to choose their leaders through an open and competitive political system.

โ€œThe future of Nigeria cannot be built through domination; it must be built through participation,โ€ he stated, adding that leadership must be earned through public trust rather than control.

Mark further described the ADC as a โ€œrallying point of a new national movementโ€ focused on inclusion, accountability, and people-centred governance.

He called on Nigerians across ethnic, religious, and political divides to join the partyโ€™s movement, stressing the need for unity in addressing national challenges.

The ADC chairman also extended an invitation to other political parties, civil society organisations, and youth groups to form a broad coalition to strengthen democracy and improve governance.

He said the moment should mark a turning point in Nigeriaโ€™s political landscape, urging citizens to embrace unity and collective action in shaping the countryโ€™s futureโ€ฆ.
