Troops of Sector 9 under Operation Safe Haven rescued a suspected kidnapper from mob action in Gidan Mangoro village, Shendam LGA of Plateau State.
Security sources said the suspect was apprehended by an angry crowd and was about to be lynched before troops intervened and took him into custody.
The suspect is currently under investigation and will be handed over to relevant security agencies for prosecution.
