Recall that Sunday Igboho issued a warning to the Fulani community and local kidnappers, demanding the release of abducted residents within two hours or threatening to invade the forests himself. Shortly after the warning, reports circulated on social media that victims (including a woman and her children) had been released in the Igboho town area, sparking public jubilation.

Reacting to the development, the Oyo State Police Command dismissed these claims as unsubstantiated, urging the public to rely only on official channels rather than social media rumors. The police also clarified they have no evidence of Igboho’s participation in successful rescue efforts.
