The Oyo State Police Command has rescued an abducted couple, Alhaji Busiru Booni and Alhaja Pitiku, who were kidnapped at Tiro Village in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State.
The operation, carried out jointly by the Police, Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes, and hunters, led to a gun battle with the kidnappers, who fled into the forest with suspected gunshot wounds, leaving the victims behind unharmed.
The couple has since been reunited with their family, while the Police continue efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects and have urged the public to report anyone with suspicious gunshot injuries.
