One problem about lies is that the moment you tell a lie, you’d need multiple lies to sustain the first lie and in doing so, you’d not even realize when you’ve lied yourself into a ditch.
The APC online goons have been parading this picture of the late lieutenant Isaac as proof that the Oyo incident was not staged by the govt. But the problem is, even in this poster and every other official account, it is stated that this soldier was killed via a landmine around the Oyo park on the 6th of June (over a month ago) at the early stage of attempts to rescue the victims while the exact day the Oyo victims were released was on July 10th.
Let’s ignore the fact that the second picture looks more like he was shot because an explosive device will most likely cause harm to his limbs but like I said, let’s ignore that part first and focus more on the wide gap between when this soldier died (JUNE 6th) and when the Oyo victims were released (JULY 10th)
So how is a soldier who was reportedly killed on June 6th an evidence that the Nigerian army sustained casualties while supposedly rescuing the Oyo victims on July 10th??
And most importantly, how does this retire the very important question of WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED BETWEEN THE NIGERIAN SECURITY FORCES AND THE TERRORISTS HOLDING THE OYO VICTIMS ON THAT FATEFUL DAY OF JULY 10th??
Considering that the official statement by the Nigerian army clearly stated that the terrorists UNCONDITIONALLY SURRENDERED all the victims without any ransom as a result of pressure they came under after the military arrested some of their leaders in different parts of Oyo and other states, the question then becomes; how is it that the same terrorists who wasted no time beheading one of the abducted teachers, the same terrorists that supposedly killed this officer, decided to UNCONDITIONALLY RELEASE the entire hostages and allowed the military take them all home without any fire fight on that 10th of July simply because of pressure from the supposed arrest of some of their leaders???? And if the army statement is true, where did Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga get the story that some of the terrorists were neutralized while 8 were arrested during the so-called rescue??
How can any responsible citizen hear that dozens of innocent citizens held hostage by terrorists for two months have been rescued and they start rejoicing without asking what became of the terrorists? How many were arrested or neutralized? WHERE ARE THE PICTURES? And if as widely suspected, the govt characteristically paid ransom to these terrorists to get the victims released, does it not stand to reason that the terrorists have only been emboldened to strike again and again? So what then is the reason for celebration when the terrorists have not been held accountable for their crimes??
