Sunday Igboho storms Kwara‼️
Oniganmo of Ganmo, Oba Jimoh Oyewole shared photos on his official Facebook page showing the visit of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho to the palace in Ganmo.
Oba Oyewole said the palace and the entire community were delighted to receive Chief Igboho.
This particular Ganmo town has long been caught in a traditional dispute with the Emirate of Ilorin.
Meanwhile, there have been attempts by the Ilorin Emirate to absorb Ganmo and convert the town’s Yoruba kingship into an Emirate domain.
This was one of the reasons Ganmo went for many years without a recognized king. It was only recently that the Kwara State Government amended the law to reinstall the Oniganmo as a third-class Oba.
