OSUN HAS SPOKEN: THE ERA OF THE POLITICAL BUSHMAN IS OVER

Nigeria, take note of what happened in Osun State this weekend, because it is a preview of 2027.
Days before the governorship election, a serving senator of the Federal Republic, Francis Fadahunsi, was captured in a viral video that Governor Ademola Adeleke described as an open call to kill Accord Party leaders, their supporters, and even their wives and children. Think about that. A lawmaker, sworn to uphold the constitution, allegedly authorising murder as a campaign strategy. What kind of evil does such a man represent? What century does he think he lives in?
Governor Adeleke rightly called it what it is: a national security threat, an incitement to mass killing. The police summoned the senator. He must not merely be summoned. He must be investigated, arrested, prosecuted, and if convicted, made an example of. Every politician in Nigeria who orders thugs against voters must know there is a cell waiting for him.
And what did the people of Osun do in the face of these threats? They came out in numbers. Turnout rose. Over two million registered, PVCs collected at over 80 percent, results uploaded to IReV in real time for the whole world to watch. A lawmaker was caught with over 200 PVCs and a house full of alleged vote buyers. The machinery of rigging was exposed, documented, photographed and defeated by ordinary citizens with phones in their hands and courage in their hearts.
This is the lesson for Bola Tinubu and his APC gangster machine ahead of 2027. The man who blindsided Nigerians in 2023 believes he can hand out millions from a fortune whose origins the American courts documented in a 1993 forfeiture, and buy himself another term. He cannot. The disgust of the Nigerian electorate is now total. In the age of AI, of BVAS, of IReV, of a diaspora watching every polling unit in real time, the thug with a gun and an order to kill is obsolete. He is a relic. A bushman in a digital age.
Massive voter turnout is the antidote to rigging. Osun proved it. When the people flood the polling units, no amount of drug money, no hired hoodlum, no compromised official can manufacture a result. The numbers overwhelm the fraud.
To every senator, every candidate, every party official who incites violence: you are being recorded. Your words are evidence. Your victims families will testify. And when the accountability trials I have long advocated finally come, Nuremberg style, before Nigerian and international tribunals, you will answer for every drop of blood. Those who support the criminal element in Aso Rock are guilty by association, and justice has a long memory.
The era of the tribal murderer in Nigerian politics is ending. The people are speaking. In 2027, they will roar.
We must clean up this mess once and for all.
