Since they cannot drive Middle Belters and Christians from their ancestral lands through violence and genocide, they are now repackaging the same agenda as “ranching” opening the door for foreigners from Mali, Niger, Mauritania and other Sahelian countries to settle in Benue, Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Taraba and beyond.
Why not test this grand experiment in Sokoto, Kano, Borno or Yobe?
And the irony is difficult to miss: the dark horses asked with pushing this policy are Fulanis
And the minister driving the current National Ranching Policy is Idi Mukhtar Maiha, a Fulani minister
The man who introduced the earlier RUGA idea was also Fulani — Muhammadu Buhari.
This ranching scheme is dead on arrival.
