The first place I witnessed this was during my National Youth Service in Bayelsa.
Mu*slims from the north comfortably bl0cked a road in the name of Friday pr@yers. What came to my mind immediately was that this place has been c0nquered.
I know what this means. I understand it perfectly. This has nothing to do with pr@yer to All@h. This is a pure message. This is d0minance. Once they test run this and succeed without any form of confrontation, it is a sign that they have c0nquered the minds of those people. It is a sign that they are fe@red. It is a sign that their d@gger can enter someone’s st0mach and come out without the people doing anything. It means that in years to come that place will be theirs to the taking.
Where is it done? That a people will from faraway and simply bl0ck a major road all in the name of pr@ying to All@h. This is done by a people who are pushing for a ban on pre@ching on a public bus. They don’t want someone to pre@ch or pr@y on a public bus, but they will bl0ck a federal road in the name of pr@yer.
This should not happen anywhere in Igboland, be it the South East or South South.
