The Confederation of Sahel States condemns the attempted mutiny that occurred in Niamey during the night of August 28 to 29, 2026.
Thanks to the bravery of the loyalist Nigerien forces, the destabilization attempt was contained and thwarted.
The AES reaffirms its total support for Niger and calls on the populations of the three countries to remain vigilant against disinformation and attempts at division.
