Nigeria Police Force Rivers State confirms the Killing of one Master Anthony Obodo, a 22yrs boy who hails from Rundele community, Emolga.
His offense according to friends was driving a car, for that reason he was termed “yahoo boy” which his father has come out to say “My Son is not a yahoo boy”
According to Rivers State Police PRO, “Preliminary information indicates that on 27th August 2026, there was an altercation between the occupant , one Anthony Obodo (m) and their was a scuffle between duo which led to gun shoot and sequently led to the death of the victim, in which two other passer by where injured.”
“Following the incident, the alleged officer CPL Alfred Louis was attacked and assaulted by an angry mob, leading to him sustaining multiple injuries in the process. The officers and members of his team, are currently in state cid and will face appropriate disciplinary actions with accordance to the law subject to the outcome of the investigation.”
“The Command wishes to state unequivocally that the action is totally condemnable and does not reflect professionalism in policing and will not relent to carry out strict disciplinary actions against erring police officers.”
Youths from his community and friends were seen today around Agip junction, Ada George road where the incident happened chanting at the police point to retaliate
