When you hear things like “Igbo people are forcing us to be part of them”
Ask them these questions:
Why will Igbo force you? For what exactly?
Let’s use common sense.
Oil producing states in Nigeria are 10 in number:
- Lagos
- Akwa Ibom
- Delta State
- Rivers State
- Abia State
- Imo State
- Anambra State
- Ondo State
- Bayelsa State
- Edo State.
Out of these 10, Igbos have 3 oil producing states already. And you said Igbos have only 5 states, yet out of that 5, we have 3 that are producing oil.
So what exactly do we need from you again? What are we looking for in your land?
According to reports, Imo State alone after Russia is one of the largest gas deposits in the world. God blessed us with oil AND gas. So tell me, what else does Igbo want from you?
Then you will say “Igbos want sea access.” This is 21st century! Countries that don’t even have a river are creating artificial sea ports. Dubai has no natural sea or ocean or river, yet they have one of the biggest sea ports in the world.
Talk more of Igbos that have rivers like River Niger, Imo River, Azumini Blue River, Oguta Lake all connected to the Atlantic Ocean through the sea. We don’t need you to have access to the sea. We can create our own.
You answer Igbo names, you do Igbo traditions, you practice Igbo culture, and you still have the mouth to tell Igbos that they are forcing you to join them?
This is why sometimes I want us to just leave you people behind. Because your ignorance is causing us setback.
If you love Nigeria so much, stay and enjoy your Nigeria in peace and let us go.
If you are Igbo and you understand this, SHARE this post. Don’t just read and pass.
