BREAKING: According to Arise News, President Tinubu is set to include FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as his campaign coordinator in Rivers State and the FCT in a revised APC Presidential Campaign Council list.
According to Arise News sources, Wike will remain in the PDP to mobilize support for the president and will not defect to the APC.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, is also being tipped to be added to the campaign council as one of the spokespersons.
Additionally, Senate President Akpabio, who is the Deputy DG (South), and Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, who is the Deputy DG (North), will not report to Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who is the Campaign DG. This framework is expected to give some of the party’s most influential figures distinct spheres of responsibility.
Although Yari is expected to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the presidential campaign council as director general, Akpabio and Barau will operate independently of him and are expected to have direct lines of responsibility within the bigger campaign structure.
