In a remarkable display of compassion and community-focused policing, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Olubode Bode Ojajuni, PSC, FCSS, MNIPR, intervened in the plight of a grieving mother, leading to the forgiveness of her outstanding ₦300,000 hospital bill.

The woman, Precious Mathew, who tragically lost her baby after undergoing a Caesarean Section, sought help not because of a crime, but because she had nowhere else to turn.

Following the intervention of the Commissioner of Police, Dr. Babanki Samuel of Longe Hospital Medical Centre, Sabo, Owode-Yewa, compassionately waived the entire outstanding balance, relieving the bereaved mother of a heavy financial burden.

This heartwarming act reminds us that policing is not only about enforcing the law but also about serving humanity, building trust, and providing hope to those in distress.

The Ogun State Police Command deserves commendation for its people-centred approach, while Dr. Babanki Samuel’s generosity stands as a shining example of empathy and selfless service.

Sometimes, the greatest form of justice is kindness.

Kudos to CP Olubode Bode Ojajuni for his compassionate leadership, and heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Babanki Samuel for choosing humanity over hardship.
