SEN. TONY NWOYE DECLARES MOURNING, CALLS FOR PEACE IN AGULERI-UMUOBA ANAM CRISIS
I am deeply shocked by the crisis between our brothers of Aguleri and Umuoba Anam, leading to loss of lives and destruction of properties, including the Ama Igwe Palace in Aguleri.
Aguleri and Umuoba Anam are one blood. No land is worth blood.
In honour of the victims, I declare an immediate ceasefire and mourn with bereaved families.
I appeal to youths of both communities to sheathe their swords and to Traditional Rulers, PGs, Security Agencies and the State Government to restore peace.
Let us choose dialogue over violence.
