Can seasonings be used to castrate goats?

I grew up in a household where we raised cattle, goats, and sheep. When we had an excess of male animals, typically about 6 months after birth, we would castrate some of them, especially the goats. However, none of us in my family were capable of performing the castration ourselves. My dad would arrange for one of our neighbors to do it for us in exchange for a fee.

The process involved purchasing a razor blade, which the neighbor would use to make an incision in the scrotum and remove the testes. The animals would receive medication, and they would heal within a few days. Over time, we have fewer animals than before.

During a visit to Effiduase, I noticed a castrated goat in our house. Curious, I asked my brother who now handled the castrations since the neighbor who used to do it had passed away. To my surprise, he revealed that he did it himself.

They had adopted a different approach and no longer made physical cuts. Instead, they used Onga Maggie cube. By forcefully opening the goat’s mouth and feeding it only three cubes, within a few days, it would exhibit characteristics similar to females, and within two months, the testes would shrink.

It became evident that we were consuming something that could potentially harm our manhood. 😆 🤣

I even asked myself what’s the nutritional value of Maggie?

From that day forward, I insisted that my household’s meals should not contain Onga Maggie cubes. The only time I allowed myself to taste Maggie was when I purchased food from outside. I made a conscious effort to reduce my outside dining.

A word to the wise is sufficient.

I wrote this 2yrs ago and I think its still relevant.

Good morning have a blessed day.
