36yrs Old Nigerian Woman With Suspected Mental Issues Arrested Over Death Of 4 yrs Old Son In UK

Oluwakemi Badare murdered her 4 year old son by drowning him in the bath on 02/01/21 in Plumstead UK. Sadly Oluwakemi suffered from mental health issues. In 2017 she was sectioned for putting him in hot water. Social services took her son and she remained in a
psychiatric hospital for a year and 2 months. No one saw this coming and she is now in prison for murder and the poor boy is dead. If social services had removed him and never returned him to her, many would have been angry with social services. They would say social workers are wicked people. Sometimes knowing when to remove a child from the parents can be the hardest part of the job. If you don’t and something happens to that child it can affect you negatively for life.

Unfortunately Oluwakemi will now have to live with the fact that she killed her own son. In her sane moments she will never forget or forgive herself. Her husband and older son are far away in Nigeria. If only they had known that her mental health was that bad, things could have been different. King could have been protected from the one who loved him more than anyone but would turn out to be the one to take his short life due to no fault of her own. Depression is real. Rest in perfect peace little one. You were once Mummy’s King.

Oluwakemi Badare, 36, is accused of killing Kingswealth Bayode at her home in Plumstead, south east London.

Police had previously stated only that the pair were related, and did not name either party.

Badare did not appear either in person or remotely from Bronzefield Prison for the 10-minute administrative hearing at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, although she was represented by a lawyer.

The court was told that emergency services were called to the address in Invermore Place, on December 27, where the boy was found dead.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on Thursday.

Judge Anthony Leonard QC listed the case for a plea hearing on March 17 2021.

Update on Kemi Badare. It turned out that her big sister and I attended the same church:Oluwakemi Badare’s 4 year old son died by accidentally drowning in the bath at their home in Plumstead, London. on the 27th December 2020Kemi who has a history of mental illness was well and stable as at the time of the sad incident. Unfortunately and contrary to the cruel stories going round, Kemi, fell asleep while her son was in the bath and woke up to find him drowned. She did not wilfully kill her son. If anything, it was an unfortunate case of neglect. And at no time was she deemed a danger to her son or anybody.PLEASE LET THE VICIOUS UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOURS CEASE/ Baron Olujumoke Ariyo
