With the prior Nigerian administration handing out ID cards to illegal immigrant jihadis, and this administration denying there’s a problem, there is a reasonable chance a terrorist could apply for a visa and we would be unable to properly vet them due to the Nigerian government’s impunity, deception and incompetence. And we are prohibited by law from screening based on religion. Thus, any sane president would be forced to restrict issuance of visas as a matter of national security. It’s not rocket science. Of course, some people are masters at figuring out how to play victim. If you’re victimized by the visa ban, blame Tinubu not Trump.
