I have been hearing of a group of very young boys that pass through Nnewi on a convoy of very nice and expensive cars . I hear they move with heavy security .

This morning while I was chilling with my area guys at Amuko area , observing the heavy traffic of cars and people coming and going home for Christmas.

Then I heard a shout as young men ran towards the tarred road, their attention attention fixated on something happening there .

I stretched my neck to see the subject of their interest .

Then I saw the boys!

A convoy of very new cars in the traffic , greeted by shouts of “Umu azi bu Ike “ from the onlookers.

Note please, among these onlookers were young fathers and aspiring husbands. They shot their admiration at these boys and their neat cars.

Immediately, some armed men on muftis Jumped down from these cars and forced the cars stuck in the traffic to make way for their convoy .

within a twinkle of an eye , The cars in the traffic created space for these boy and they sped across as onlookers screamed “NDI Ike, Ndi Ike”

I loved the rides, they were my spec but I was more concerned about reaction of the men Looking at them break the law .

They were almost clapping.

Today I saw a society that worship money irrespective of the source of the money .

I saw fathers who will encourage their sons to make money through any means.

Just last month, a big time hotel owner in Imo state was exposed as an organ trafficker.

Please don’t get it twisted, money is good, I love money . But when the the rich get away with breaking the law, then that society has failed.

People who worship money don’t think through things critically when presented with prospect of making money . They throw caution into the wind .
