Love is proven by obedience.

Jesus made a statement that is both simple and demanding:
Love is not measured by what we say, but by what we obey.
In John 14:23–24 (NLT), He teaches that anyone who truly loves Him will live by His word, while disobedience reveals the absence of love. This is a timeless principle—faith is validated by alignment, not affection.
This truth transcends spirituality; it applies relationships, marriage etc. Loyalty without obedience is sentiment. Respect without alignment is noise. Love that does not shape behavior is incomplete.
A young apprentice once claimed deep loyalty to a master craftsman. He admired the man publicly and spoke highly of him. Yet, daily, he ignored the master’s instructions—cutting corners, rejecting correction, and insisting on his own way.
One day, the master said quietly, “You speak well of me, but you do not listen to me. Until my words guide your hands, your loyalty is only talk.”
That moment changed the apprentice. His growth began—not when he spoke more, but when he obeyed more.
Judith will always speak and praise the husband before anyone who cares to listen. But neighbors are always suppriswd as there was no two weeks she doesn’t end up fighting the husband.
Yet publicly she praises him to high heavens especially on her social media handles.
Filled with their pictures portraying hwe tender loving care but in real life, they lived as cat and mouse at home.
This is not the type of love Jesus expects from us. Folks who profess Christianity but live different lives afterward. Love is driven by obedience.
The lesson:
True love is disciplined.
True faith is visible.
And true commitment is proven by obedience.
In a world that celebrates declarations over discipline, image and visibility or characters, Jesus reminds us that alignment is the highest expression of love.
“if you love me, you will obey me”.Jesus
So if you do not love Him, you definitely will not obey Him.
Its your weekend.
