The ban on using American and Israeli flags was a calculated strategy against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

There was absolutely no harm in carrying American and Israeli flags. None. What that ban was designed to do was to cut the people off from the path MNK had already laid. They told you that if we continued carrying those flags, those who wanted to help us would withdraw their support. My question then—and now—is simple: who exactly are these people?
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu built real connections with America and Israel. Those pushing the ban knew this. They knew that the only meaningful international relationships our leader established were with these countries, and that if help ever came, it would most likely come from there. Yet, what did they do? They launched coordinated attacks against these same countries—insulting them openly on their major platforms—all in the name of so-called geopolitics. To what end? In whose interest?
Today, where is help coming from?
Not from Iran.
Not from Turkey.
Not from Palestine.
Whatever little support we are seeing is coming from the same America and Israel that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu consistently aligned us with. Not from the countries they claimed would be offended by the sight of American and Israeli flags.
Our major problem is that we have allowed personal opinions to be mistaken for official positions of DOS. That is one of the gravest mistakes we have made in recent times. Once an individual speaks, we immediately assume it is leadership speaking. There was never—at any point—a reasonable justification for banning American and Israeli flags.
Thankfully, just last month, we once again witnessed Biafrans on the ground protesting with American and Israeli flags. That alone tells a story.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu understood clearly that Iran, Turkey, and Palestine would never oppose Nigeria because Nigeria is strategically important to the global expansion of Islam. That reality informed his alignment with Israel and America. It was not accidental. It was deliberate.
We must continue pushing.
We must remain consistent.
We must not abandon the path already charted.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a wise man. He is guided by Chukwu Okike. That is why he can speak today and events will validate his words years later.
