The Atiku Movement (TAM) Strongly Condemns Attempted Arrest of Malam Nasir El-Rufai
The Atiku Movement (TAM) unequivocally condemns the recent attempt by security agents to arrest former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, upon his arrival from Cairo, including the seizure of his passport without due process.
This heavy-handed action against an opposition figure is unacceptable and smacks of political intimidation. If the Bola Tinubu-led administration is truly confident in its performance and boasts of nearly 30 governors alongside over 10 million registered APC members, why resort to harassing and stifling opposition voices?
We call on President Bola Tinubu to redirect this same energy and urgency toward arresting terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements terrorizing Nigerians daily, rather than targeting political opponents.
The opposition must be allowed to breathe and operate freely in a democracy.
TAM stands firmly with all who seek a better Nigeria and will continue to advocate for justice, fairness, and the rule of law.
