Uturu in Abia has two universities and an industrial estate but has not seen light.,not even a flicker in 20yrs.
This is the type of example that Sowore saw and lost his cool.
He didn’t know that coming from a long line of irresponsible leadership ..the change that otti has made makes him a hero.any attack on him becomes an attack on the region.

Background
When I say Uturu hasn’t had electricity for 20 years, it’s not just a statistic, it’s our daily reality. Some might think we live in a forgotten village, but Uturu is a town with life, ambition, and promise.
We have two universities, Abia State University and Gregory University, where young minds dream of a better future. We have the Masters Energy İndustrial Estate with over 20 different factories, and Setraco’s quarry employs many of our people. Our children attend international schools like Marist Brothers Academy and Marist Juniorate. Life in Uturu is meant to be bright, but the lights have been off for two decades.
Children born here since 2005 have never known the flick of a light switch. They’ve grown up believing electricity is something distant, almost a myth. The national grid exists elsewhere, it has forgotten us.
We feel invisible. Ignored by the successive governments of Abia State that should protect us, Uturu continues to live in darkness while the world moves on. And yet, we persist, holding on to hope that someday, someone will see us, not as a forgotten town, but as people who deserve to live with light.
