Nigeria Police and some elements of the Osun State Police Command have no decorum at all.
Boys were having a field day playing football as usual on Sunday morning at the popular Baruwa field and police operatives allegedly from State CID struck the field just to arrest one person.
Reports had it that came guns blazing and shot sporadically in the air. These shots sent people scampering for safety.
My church, which was nearby became a refuge point for those running away from the chaos on the field.
We that were in the church were a bit disturbed. See mothers in the church trying to run into the Osun River while clutching their children.
Why would the police carry out such a raid in a populated area in the midst of these noises about bandits on the prowl?
It is absolutely not needed.
This is reckless use of state power!
