🚨 INCIDENT REPORT / MILITARY PERSONNEL DEATH ALERT 🚨
A tragic incident has reportedly occurred involving a Nigerian Navy personnel identified as WO Yusuf MO at the Nigerian Navy Sick Bay located in Gowon Estate, Ipaja, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
According to reports, on 19 May 2026, WO Yusuf was absent from duty. Upon reporting back to work on 20 May 2026, she was summoned by her Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Lt Commander ST Abashim, and questioned over her absence from duty the previous day.

In her response, WO Yusuf reportedly explained that she had been experiencing serious health challenges and stated that she was still feeling weak and needed medical check-up and treatment.
However, the explanation was allegedly not accepted by her OIC. Reports indicate that Lt Commander ST Abashim ordered WO Yusuf to undergo extra labour under the scorching sun as punishment.
While carrying out the assigned fatigue duty, WO Yusuf reportedly began experiencing dizziness, blurred vision, and signs of physical collapse. Witnesses alleged that despite her deteriorating condition, her superior officer ordered that she be locked inside one of the wards without immediate medical attention.
Sadly, after approximately one hour in detention, WO Yusuf reportedly passed away.
The incident has generated serious concern and reactions, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death and the treatment allegedly meted out to her while in service.
Further official statements from relevant military authorities are still being awaited.
