The insult has reached a new level.
Terrorists who took Yoruba children and teachers from their classrooms in Oyo State now want to speak “directly” with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
They do not want to speak with the Police. They do not want to speak with the Army. They want the Governor. Why? And what will they demand?
The Yoruba citizens worldwide, listen well. This is no longer a security issue. This is a sovereignty issue.
1. Why Do Terrorists Want to Negotiate with Governor Seyi Makinde Directly?
- To Legitimize Themselves – When a criminal forces a Governor to the table, he stops being a criminal. He becomes a “stakeholder.” Tomorrow they will ask for a ministry.
- To Bypass Federal Failure – Abuja has failed. The Army is overstretched. The Police are underfunded. The terrorists know it. So they go to the man who actually lives with the people: the Governor.
- To Test Yorubaland – This is a trial balloon. If Oyo negotiates today, Osun will negotiate tomorrow. Ekiti next week. They are testing if Yoruba governors will become collection agents for ransoms.
This is not negotiation. This is conquest by telephone.
2. What Will They Demand for the Release of Our Children?
We have seen the playbook from Katsina to Zamfara, from Kaduna to Niger. The demands are always the same:
- Cash – Not millions. Billions. They will ask for N500 million, N1 billion, in raw cash or in cryptocurrency. That money will buy the next batch of RPGs, the next convoy of motorcycles, the next kidnapping.
- Release of Their Commanders – “Free our men from Agodi Prison, from Kuje Prison, and we will free your students.” They want us to empty our jails to fill their camps.
- Amnesty and Integration – “Give us official forest reserves. Recognize our settlements. Give us political appointments.” They want the Governor to sign away Yoruba ancestral land with a pen.
- Demobilize Chief Sunday Igboho security outfit and Amotekun – “Stop your security outfit. Stop local hunters. Withdraw all vigilantes.” They want the Governor to disarm his own people so their next raid will be easier.
- Media Silence – “Do not call us terrorists. Call us ‘businessmen.’ Do not allow Igboho to speak.” They want to control the narrative after controlling the bush.
In short, they will demand that Governor Seyi Makinde trade Yoruba sovereignty for Yoruba children. That is the trap.
3. Can Governor Seyi Makinde Negotiate? Should He?
Engineer Seyi Makinde is a Yoruba man before he is a Governor. His first oath is to the people of Oyo State, not to the Constitution that cannot protect them.
But here is the truth:
- If he pays, more schools will be attacked. Ransom is fertilizer for terrorism.
- If he refuses, the terrorists will kill the children and blame him. Abuja will then blame him too.
- If he calls Abuja, Abuja will say “we are monitoring the situation.” They have been monitoring since Chibok.
This is why “One Nigeria” is an impossible sovereign state. The Governor has responsibility without authority. He is Chief Security Officer on paper, but the Army, Police, DSS all take orders from Abuja. Abuja gives him no troops, then asks him to produce miracles.
4. The Yoruba Citizens Worldwide: This Is Over to Us
Abuja will not fight this war because the FG is helpless and been careful. The UN will not fight this war. So what do we do?
- We Say No to Ransom – Yoruba sons and daughters abroad, do not send one dollar for ransom. Do not let the Governor use Oyo State money for ransom. Every ransom is a down payment on the next kidnap.
- We Demand Offensive Action – Governor Makinde must mobilize Chief Sunday Igboho Yoruba security outfit, Amotekun, local hunters, and every licensed Yoruba man. Enter the forest. Not to negotiate. To retrieve. The terrorists respect only force.
- We Internationalize It – Yoruba in the US, UK, Canada, Brazil: go to your Parliament. Go to CNN. Go to the ICC. Say it clearly: “Fulani terrorists are kidnapping Yoruba schoolchildren in 2026 and the Nigerian State is negotiating with them. This is genocide by installment.”
- Should’nt we Hold Abuja Accountable? – If the Federal Government is helpless and cannot secure Oyo, then it has no business collecting VAT from Oyo. If the Federal Government negotiates with terrorists, then it is a state sponsor of terror.
5. Chief Sunday Igboho Warned Us, and They Called Him a Criminal
When Chief Sunday Igboho said “arm your communities,” they raided his house.
When he said “Yoruba must defend Yoruba,” they declared him wanted.
Today, the terrorists are calling the Governor directly because they believe Yorubaland is undefended.
HURIWA, where is your lecture now? Will you teach Governor Makinde “human rights” while children are in chains? Will you tell him to “follow due process” with men who have no process except the gun?
Conclusion: We Do Not Negotiate the Lives of Our Children
What will they demand? They will demand our land, our treasury, our weapons, and our dignity.
What should Governor Seyi Makinde give them? Nothing but fire.
The Yoruba citizens worldwide, understand this: If we let them negotiate with one Governor today, they will install their own Governor tomorrow.
So we say to the terrorists: Return the children now. Unconditionally. Before the sons of Oodua return to you, unconditionally.
And we say to Engineer Seyi Makinde: The Yoruba Nation stands behind you if you fight. We stand against you if you pay. History is watching. Oodua is watching.
The fire has answered on Mount Carmel. The altar of Oodua is repaired.
And no terrorist will use Yoruba children to buy Yoruba land. Not now. Not ever.
