According to the authorities, only officially recognized national remembrance events under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria like the Army Forces Remembrance Day, Police, and Independence Day are permitted.

In view of this development, I strongly advise my fellow Ndị Igbo, especially the youths, not to participate in, enforce, or support any illegal sit-at-home order or street activities capable of creating tension, confrontation, panic, or violence anywhere in the South East.

Nobody should allow themselves to be misled into actions that may put their lives, freedom, or future at risk. Once the government labels an activity ILLEGAL, anyone attempting to enforce it through intimidation, roadblocks, threats, violence, or attacks on innocent citizens can be treated as a criminaI under the law.

In case you are traveling tomorrow, please be extremely careful and avoid carrying or displaying anything capable of creating suspicion or unnecessary problems for you at security checkpoints. Your safety should come first at all times. Do not allow emotions or social media pressure to put your life in d@nger.

The South East must move forward through peace, unity, hard work, education, investment, and development — not through fear, destruction, or self-inflicted economic hardship.

Avoid gatherings capable of causing security concerns, and stay away from anyone attempting to enforce illegal orders tomorrow. A word is enough for the wise.
