The North Can No Longer Ignore This

It’s time to stop being polite. It’s time to stop pretending everything is fine. Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the North is not being ignored by mistake. This is not because the government is too busy. This is deliberate. It is planned. The North is being pushed aside on purpose. The proof is everywhere.

“What has the North gained from Tinubu’s government? The honest answer is: almost nothing.”

Naja’atu Told You So

The North was warned. Before the election was over, a brave woman named Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad told Nigerians that Tinubu had no plan to develop the North. She said this to his face. She lost a lot by speaking the truth.

What did she get for her honesty? People called her a liar. They mocked her. They said the Muslim-Muslim ticket meant the North would be taken care of. But shared religion is not the same as good policies or fair treatment. The North was tricked by symbols and given nothing real.

Now, Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad has been proven right. The truth has finally come out, and it is hurting millions of northern Nigerians.

Fact: Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad resigned from Tinubu’s campaign team because she said the government had no development plan for the North. People said she was just playing politics. But everything she said has turned out to be true.

What Has the North Received?

Let’s ask a simple question that no Tinubu supporter can honestly answer. From Sokoto to Borno, from Kano to Kaduna, let everyone ask:

What has the North actually gotten from Tinubu’s government?

· What big road, bridge, or railway has been built in the North?
· What important federal job with real power has been given to a northerner? (Not a ceremonial title or a fake position.)
· What economic policy has been made to help the poor in the North?
· What help has reached farmers in the Sahel?
· What security plan has stopped villages from being burned and families from being chased from their homes?

No one can answer these questions. That silence is the answer. And the answer is: nothing. Three years into this government, the North has received nothing of value.

Some will say, “But there are northerners working in the government.” Having a seat at a table where decisions are already made is not real power. It is just decoration. The North does not need fake ministers and advisers with no power. The North needs real policies, roads, security, investment, and dignity. None of these have come.

Meanwhile, the South-West is doing very well. Money, big projects, and real appointments go there like a river that knows its direction. The North just watches from the side. They are told to be grateful and patient. They are told that talking about neglect is just propaganda.

The Hard Truth: Northern states have the highest poverty rates in Nigeria — over 70% in some states. Federal projects and money are focused on the South. The North grows food and keeps Nigeria alive, but gets very little in return.

The Northern Leaders Who Betray Their People

Let’s talk about northern politicians and leaders who still defend Tinubu. They see the hunger, the insecurity, the poverty. They know the truth. But they still praise a president who has done nothing for the North.

They are not confused. They know the truth. They defend Tinubu not because they believe in him, but because they benefit personally. They trade the future of their people for their own political survival.

That is not leadership. That is betrayal.

“They sold their people’s future for a seat at a table that was never really meant for them.”

Those Calling Truth “Propaganda”

Whenever someone speaks this truth, Tinubu’s defenders call it propaganda. They say it is lies to make the president look bad. But this response is not an argument. It is just waving the truth away.

Show us the projects. Show us the appointments. Show us the policies. They cannot. Telling a thirsty man that water is plentiful does not quench his thirst. What the North is saying is not made up. It is real life. It is what people are suffering every day.

The North Has Woken Up — And Will Fight Back

For too long, the North has been patient. It gave votes, loyalty, and political support — and got nothing back. That time is ending. The North is waking up.

We now understand that loyalty without fairness is not partnership. It is exploitation. We were used as a vehicle for someone else’s ambition. We campaigned, we delivered votes — and then we were told to wait and stop complaining.

The North is not begging. It is demanding what is right: a president who governs all Nigerians, who shares federal attention fairly, who remembers that northerners also voted for him.

We will fight back — not with violence, but with political unity and strong demands for accountability. The North will no longer be a stepping stone. We are a destination, and we demand to be treated that way.

“The North will no longer trade its political future for promises that die the day after the election.”

Conclusion: Disguised Dislike

Saying that President Tinubu does not like the North is not propaganda. It is not opposition politics. It is a conclusion based on facts — three years of watching where the government sends its attention, money, and energy.

You know what a person values by where they send their resources. By that measure, the North has its answer. And now the North must act — with unity, purpose, and self-respect.

Hajiya Naja’atu told us. We did not listen. Now we have learned. And the North will not be fooled again.
