Suspected terrorists on Wednesday evening invaded the Ijalu area of Egbe in the Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, abducting a woman and her toddler during a raid that has thrown residents into panic.
The victims were identified as Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo and her young child, who were reportedly taken away by the armed assailants during the attack along the Solid Rock School axis of the community.
The terrorists came suddenly and everybody started running. They were heavily armed and people could not confront them. They abducted Mrs. Kemi and her little child and disappeared into the surrounding area before help could come,” the source said.
