I love the resoluteness of the Nigerian government in fighting IPOB and making sure they stop the impending division of Nigeria.
The Nigerian government has long included mind games alongside their brutal physical fight against IPOB.
Recently, the Nigerian government appointed an Igbo woman as ambassador to Israel. Her name is Ambassador Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu. This is Nigeria working smartly. Recently, IPOB has made significant gains within the Israeli parliament. The best way to counter this is not to send a Fulani or Yorùbá envoy to Israel. The best way to do it is to send an Igbo person, so that an Igbo person can speak against her own people. Such words carry more weight when they come from within.
An Igbo man might not get the presidency, but he can get a diplomatic posting in foreign affairs, and that kind of appointment can be deployed strategically. This is not the first time. Remember when Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the Ikemba himself, was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. An Igbo woman married into the very bloodline of the Biafran struggle, given a Nigerian government position, while any real Biafran agitation was treated as treason. Now, another Igbo woman is sent to represent Nigeria at a time when IPOB is scoring diplomatic ground in Israel. This is a calculated strategy on the part of the Nigerian government, using Igbo faces to soften Igbo causes on the world stage.
You cannot fully blame Igbo people for accepting these positions, because a country that keeps them vulnerable and blocked from real power will always place them in such compromised roles against their own people.
It is not a coincidence that ExDOS turned against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. This too carries the fingerprints of Nigerian intelligence work. They infiltrated the former IPOB leadership, compromised them, and turned them into instruments doing the job Nigerian social media agents used to do. Today, the paid online e-rats working for politicians barely waste their time att@cking Mazi Nnamdi Kanu directly. Former IPOB leadership and certain so-called media warriors now do that work for them.
IPOB must match the Nigerian government in intelligence. Analyse every one of their moves. Inform Israel of the reason an Igbo woman was specifically sent to them as ambassador. We must identify Israeli figures who once stood against the very idea of a Jewish state during Israel’s own founding struggle, and use their history to help Israel understand exactly what this kind of appointment is designed to do. Israel has lived through this exact situation before, and we must remind them of it.
Intelligence must be IPOB’s priority, and I am certain that is precisely why Mazi Nnamdi Kanu appointed the new administration and the 100 Men, filled with intellectuals and men of integrity.
Congratulations to Nigeria for remembering Igbo people only when they need someone to play a dirty game against Igbo people. But we assure them this: they cannot stop this quest for freedom, because stopping is in our own hands, and we are not ready to stop. As long as men live and as long as injustice abounds, the call for freedom will continue to rage.
