BH tries to Take Madagali in Adamawa

Boko Haram fighters on Monday attacked Bakin Dutse village as they advanced to Gulak, theĀ  headquarters of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

But the local vigilance joined the troops of the Nigerian army to repel the attacks.

Many terrified residents have fled the town and are hiding in the bush, mountains, and hills, while reports say the two sides lost men to the gun duel.

Channels Television quoted the Adamawa State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ahmad Sajoh, as saying that the military and the insurgents were engaged in a fierce battle, with residents fleeing for their lives.
