As per my earlier post on the banning of open grazing in Cross River state, the distinguished speaker of the Cross River state house of assembly, Rt Hon. John Gaul Lebo intimated me(on that post) that his house is just about putting finishing touches to the draft bill to ban open grazing in the state. He also said his house passed a resolution earlier in the year to ban open grazing- that resolution was the foundation for this Bill which they’re almost done working on. He also gave his assurance that they would come up with something robust and encompassing and from all indications, I think it’s going to be done soonest.
I say a big kudos to Mr Speaker and other honourable members of the CRSHA. It’s open knowledge that the Cross River state house of assembly under the leadership of speaker John Gaul has been VERY proactive in the aspect of legislation.
On my own part, I’ll endeavour to follow through till its signed into Law by the Executive. Simon Utsu wrote
