Ex-CPC boss backs Buhari

A chieftain of the ruling the All Progressive Congress (APC) and erstwhile chairman of defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Edo State, Mr. Godwin Erhahon, said President Muhammadu Buhari and APC would get the maximum votes from the state despite “the politics of bitterness, exclusion, victimization and blackmail that have recently bedeviled our hitherto united and harmonious APC.”

Erhahon said he has no plans of quitting APC notwithstanding the grievances of some members of Edo chapter that are threatening to defect to opposition parties, even as he admitted that the grievances “to the extent to which they are true, are justified and as such deserve urgent redress.”

“I share the grievances of those protesting the politics of bitterness, exclusion, victimization and blackmail that have recently bedeviled our hitherto united and harmonious APC.

“But they are, in my opinion, too personal and too selfish to erode our faith in the sincere commitment of President Buhari to salvage Nigeria from the decay to which past leaders have plunged our beloved Country,” he added.
