With the news of abduction and killing filtering our headlines daily, one has to be careful with even his neighbours because you don’t really know who is who any longer.
Before now, we had only a major security issues, which was Boko Haram in the north east of the country; but today while Boko Haram are spreading all over the country with security intercepting 460 of them in a convoy of 35 buses heading to the east with the mission to cause harm to innocent people; kidnapping has also become the order of the day in almost all part of the country.
In places like Abaji, kidnappers ask for as little as N10,000 ransom because the victims are sometimes their neighbours. They all ready know the worth of the person and what the family can afford.
Today, kidnapping has become a booming business in the country.
There was a story of a retired civil servant, who was just paid his retirement money; so his son who was 10 years was kidnapped and the kidnappers contacted the father for ransom. When the contact was made, the man was asked to either pay a ransom of the total exact amount he was paid which was N3,120,200.50 or his son dies.
Guess what the man replied the kidnappers?
The man told the kidnappers to go ahead and kill him that he don’t have any money to pay. The kidnappers then reminded him of the money he was just paid and he told them that he has other members of the family to take care of with the money, so he can’t afford to bail only the boy with the entire family’s money. After their discussion, the following morning the boy was released.
There are different kind of people in kidnapping spray today, with different reasons for becoming kidnappers.
Within an interval of one month, precious souls were wasted in the hands of kidnappers in Kaduna and in Boko Haram camp.
How will you kill a woman you kidnapped with her kids and you still have the guts to pay the family condolences after been paid ransom to release the kids?
Report has it that the woman and her two children were abducted from their home at the Juji community in Chikun local government area of the state by kidnappers who also killed a member of a local vigilante group in the area during the operation.
A week after their abduction, the body of the woman was found and later, her kids were released after ransom was paid. But God was merciful enough, in his infinite mercy to bring forth the evil police officer, who master Mind the whole thing.
I think the primary reason the woman was killed was because she recognised the police man, which made them killed her.
But God blocked the killers brains from ever thinking the kids could recognise either of them.
Now here is a simple lesson from what happened to the Kaduna Doctor’s wife
1. Kidnappers work with information about who ever they kidnapped.
2. Living in an environment, one have to be very careful with those you called friends, because it is only those who know things about you that can hurt you.
3. Don’t be too familiar with your neighbour because he is a security personnel, that is the person that will hurt you the most.
4. Don’t be too full of yourself in your neighbourhood. That resources you have is a blessing from God, don’t use it to impress people just to gain their favours.
5. It is better to appear like a poor man but have enough to eat with your family. The rate envy grows in our neighbourhood in resent times is worst than the current coronavirus.
6. Don’t spend unnecessarily to impress.
This are just few tips to learn from the death of the Kaduna Doctor’s wife because with the Kaduna Doctor’s wife’s death linked to a police officer, who is familiar with the family, it then means majority of the kidnapping and killing cases are masterminded by our security men who are familiar.
No wonder it is always difficult to make any arrest the moment this type of crimes are committed.
How can there be any arrest when it is still the person who mastermind the plan that will also want to handle the investigation
Dr Ataga whose wife was killed by kidnappers ,just opened a police station built with his own money near his house and was opened by Governor and other high dignitaries, the same police he put their station near his house never raised a finger when his house was attacked ,walls broken and wife and kids were abducted , immediately this happened, the fake news headlines was herdsmen, bandits and Muslim extremists, if not for the presence of mind of the children, who identified the culprit policeman who killed their mum when he visited their dad(see audacity and impunity)security agencies would have been combing the bushes for Fulani and Muslims who want to Islamize Nigeria by killing them, the same policeman gang also kidnapped and killed the Seminarian, whose death sparked the outrageous, inciting speech from Bishop Kukah, words are like eggs ,once said ,it cannot be gathered and swallowed ,so they have kept silent, just like they kept silent in all National newspapers ,when a Christian carried a bomb into the Church to bomb innocent parishioners, if the but bomb had exploded and the terrorist perished with innocent souls ,who would have been able to dispute CAN renaming of Samuel to Mohammed?
