Kenyan National Union Of Teachers Chairman Eased out/Eric Mutinda

The issuance of 6 months mandatory terminal leave to kenya national union of teachers( KNUT) chairman Mudzo Nzili and his immediate replacement with Wycliffe Etole has continued to elicit varied opinions with many pundits arguing that the move to have Mr Mudzo out was politically motivated something the secretary general of the union Wilson Sossion has refuted stating that the union constitution allows for the measure he took by issuing the mandatory leave to his chairman , however the outgoing chairman Mudzo has accused the secretary general Wilson Sossion of abandoning their earlier talks that suggested he should relinquish his position in the union after being nominated to parliament even though as all this turn of events continue unfold Mr Mudzo hasn’t revealed whether he will be challenging the secretary general decision of replacing him in a court of law or not .The union leaders push and pull comes at a time the giant teachers union is expected to celebrate 60 years of existence come December this year ” we agreed with my brother Hon Sossion that having been nominated to parliament the only honourable thing is to relinquish your position so that you concentrate with the political side and we in the union have a problem we shall come to you because you are our own.” Said Mudzo .
