– Labs are locked
– Lecture theatres locked too

A staff had this to say

So I heard the rumours & complains by staff that salaries are being cut down as new minimum wage but refused to agree that anyone would do that. Shocking to me, when the February alert came, I had lost over N40000 as monthly income. This is supposed to be the new increase we have been waiting for? It became a curse instead of a blessing. I heard the university VC has pushed the blame on the state government of being responsible in a radio interview this morning. I want to hear what the state government of Akwa Ibom has to say about such evil and who is actually responsible. Meanwhile protest is ongoing and school shut down. Sad! So sad!!

See wetin we dey go through?
