The world of entertainment and politics have sent their tributes to the Queen of Soul who died at the age of 76.
The singer was in instrumental in many civil rights movements and performed at the inaugurationof three United States presidents.

She will be remembered for 17 Top Ten US chart and 18 Grammy awards. She had hits like Respect and I say A Little Prayer.
She was diagnosed with cancer in 2010, and announced last year she was retiring from music.
The singer died at her home in Detroit surrounded by family and loved ones, her family said in a statement.
