IGBO THINK-HOME DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE ANNOUNCES NOMINATION AND APPOINTMENT PROCESS FOR DIRECTORS AND PRINCIPAL OFFICERS
The Igbo Think-Home Development Initiative, internationally recognised as the Igbo Economic Initiative, has announced the commencement of nominations and appointments into its leadership structure, directorates, specialised units, and coordinating offices as part of efforts to strengthen institutional governance, investment mobilisation, enterprise development, and sustainable regional transformation across Alaigbo and beyond.
The Initiative, which operates as a strategic subsidiary of the Great Igbo Achievers’ Initiative and in strategic affiliation with Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, stated that the exercise forms part of its broader vision of building a credible, professional, transparent, and development-driven institution capable of mobilising indigenous and diaspora investment, expertise, innovation, and strategic partnerships toward homeland development.
Operating under the philosophy of Aku-Ruru-Ulo — “Let Wealth Return Home” — the organisation explained that the appointment process is designed to attract competent, visionary, and development-oriented individuals who can contribute meaningfully toward economic transformation, infrastructure advancement, enterprise promotion, policy advocacy, and regional development.
According to the organisation, the nomination process follows the recent unveiling of its comprehensive organisational structure established to promote professionalism, accountability, institutional efficiency, and sustainable growth in line with global corporate governance standards.
The Initiative disclosed that nominations are invited into several strategic directorates and operational units, including:

The organisation stated that nominees and prospective appointees are expected to possess integrity, leadership capacity, professional competence, strategic thinking, accountability, and commitment to Igbo development and nation-building.
Women, youths, diaspora professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, technocrats, development experts, and experienced community leaders were also encouraged to participate in the nomination process.
According to the Initiative, successful appointees will contribute toward promoting the Think-Home investment philosophy, mobilising strategic partnerships, supporting infrastructure and enterprise development, encouraging diaspora collaboration, promoting security consciousness, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and advancing the vision of building a prosperous, secure, innovative, and globally competitive Alaigbo.
The organisation disclosed that all nominations, expressions of interest, curriculum vitae, and supporting documents submitted through its official communication channels would be reviewed by the appropriate screening and appointment committee in line with the institutional objectives and governance principles of the Initiative.
The Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to building a strong institutional framework capable of driving coordinated investment, enterprise promotion, infrastructure development, policy advocacy, and sustainable regional transformation across Alaigbo.
It therefore called on Ndi Igbo at home and in the diaspora, traditional institutions, investors, development partners, professionals, and stakeholders to actively support and participate in the Initiative’s vision of rebuilding and repositioning Alaigbo for present and future generations.
