Barely days after the mass abduction of 177 Christian worshippers in Kurmin Wali, gunmen have carried out another kidnapping in Kajuru Local Government Area.

Local sources confirmed that four persons were abducted on Friday evening while returning from Maro Market. The victims were ambushed along the Maro–Kajuru road.

According to community members, the victims were travelling in a Peugeot Boxer bus with registration number DKA 680 ZY (Kaduna) when armed assailants intercepted the vehicle shortly after passing Kuturu Buzu.

“The attackers stopped the vehicle and forcefully dragged the passengers into the bush,” a community source said, describing the operation as swift and coordinated.

The fresh abduction has intensified fear across Kajuru and neighbouring communities.

Efforts to obtain official reaction were unsuccessful. The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, did not respond to phone calls or text messages as of the time of filing this report.

Residents and community leaders are urging state and federal authorities to take urgent action to rescue the abducted victims and prevent further attacks.

As the situation unfolds, Kajuru communities remain on edge.
